
Today we celebrate the incredible Tini Ridgley. Tini joined us in October 2022 on a 28 Day Kickstarter and has since proven to be a dedicated hard worker, striving toward her goals. Tini has invested various services with TF to help her with her goals. When Tini joined TF she was looking to learn how to support the changes she wanted to see in her body, particularly as her body began to change entering perimenopause. Tini is empowering herself with knowledge investing in our Nutrition Coaching Process to learn how to regulate her hormones through the help of eating a nutritious balanced diet, suitable for her body.
After our initial consult, Tini went all in, to the process. She completely dedicated herself to the next 6 weeks setting herself up for lifelong knowledge about the types of foods her body liked and disliked. She has learned the importance of incorporating all nutrients into her diet to benefit her specific body type. After smashing through the process Tini has dropped 1.7kg of body fat, 3.7kg in body weight and dropped 1 level of visceral fat. Tini completed the process and is now empowered to be able to make the right choices for her body type. The changes that Tini has made has also relayed onto her family who are also now mindful of why they need to fuel their bodies and what foods can support that for them.
From October 2022 Tini has also been a part of our group fitness classes. Tini has always been someone who incorporated training into her lifestyle but throughout her journey with Terrific Fitness we have seen her excel in her confidence, strength, flexibility, and a huge improvement in her technique, which has enhanced her training in every area.
Every week Tini steps into the studio she pushes her limits once again. She pushes the boundaries of her comfort zone and strives to be better each time she comes in. Tini’s strength and endurance has come so far and from doing 1 class a night she has now progressed to smashing out sometimes 2-3 classes a night utilising her MyZone to track how hard she’s working in each session.
Tini you have come so far. Your openness to learn and the questions you ask prove how determined you are to your goals and aspirations. Your results have been incredible and with all you have learnt we are excited to see you continue on your journey and all that you achieve.

Here is Tini’s story in her words:
“My life before Terrific Fitness, was a life where I was constantly trying to work on improving my nutrition. My weight has always yo-yo’d and never remained consistent. I was never clear about what food I should and could eat to achieve feeling satisfied and fulfilled. I have attempted most diets (not always successfully!) and never found the long-term solution. In summary, my life was a rollercoaster ride of up, downs, twists and turns.
Covid-19 hit me hard, as I did not enjoy the isolation and restrictions! I have always enjoyed fitness and have managed to make this an essential part of my life, by incorporating it into my every day. It is till not perfect, but continues to be work in progress.
As I start to get closer to a certain milestone in my life and a point that can be tricky for women i.e. the menopause, I started to see changes happening with my body, both physically and emotionally and made the decision to take control and not let IT control me. I wanted to feel better and of course look better. To do this I had to take ownership of my decisions and the first one was to join Terrific Fitness 28 Day Kickstart Challenge. I made this decision to support improving my knowledge of why I was feeling the way I was and what I could do to change this – knowledge is power after all!
I joined the program to support the changes I wanted to see in my body both physically and mentally, before the menopause kicked in. I wanted to feel in control of making informed and better choices. To understand what my body needed and how best to achieve this.
Once I joined Terrific Fitness and the 28 day challenge, I found that it was set in a supportive, encouraging and empowering environment, where you are encouraged to push yourself out of your comfort zone and to understand what your body needs and why. It took me a few weeks to finally take the plunge and book in for the nutrition bootcamp [Nutrition Coaching Program], partly because I knew in the past I never committed to anything fully and would always find an excuse not to follow through with the plans. However, I found the support, encouragement and direction provided by the TF team was amazing and helped me to stay focussed. There were no excuses why I couldn’t do it!
I saw the FB advert and thought: What have I got to lose? I have tried everything else, why not this!
I have found that the values Terrific Fitness are based and align with what I want to achieve. The team as a whole are welcoming, encouraging, supportive and most importantly empower you with such confidence and knowledge that enables you to make better choices. I love the classes and the additional services provided. The culture is fantastic, and everyone is made to feel welcome and valued for the journey they are on.
As well as training I have changed my eating habits. I knew deep down that my body was not responding well to dairy or gluten, yet never properly made any changes to adapt to this or understand why. Going through the nutrition bootcamp made me realise if I didn’t make these changes, I would not end up feeling happy or satisfied. And that was the most important thing for me, how I was feeling!
Having the knowledge to understand what food choices you need to make that works best for your body is so important. I still have a long way to go to fully embed this knowledge but believe with the great support and resources available from the team at Terrific Fitness, I will get there. The only person stopping me, is ME! I have seen the impact the changes I have made to my eating habits, has had on my family who are also being more mindful about what they eat and why. And having young children this is so important.
I have always incorporated training into my lifestyle, but with Terrific Fitness I am pushing myself out of my comfort zone and working on improving my techniques and flexibility range.
The main success for me was in how I am feeling. I finally feel empowered by my choices and have the knowledge to make more informed decisions. If I don’t make wiser choices, I understand what the consequences are going to be and how to change this. I feel lighter and not just in weight, but emotionally. I feel that my changes in my training is also improving, and I am pushing myself in ways I was avoiding before.
The biggest challenge I have overcome is understanding the importance of a balanced and well managed nutrition plan, that is right for me. The impact this has had on my emotional wellbeing is immense. I am so grateful for the support from the TF team to get me through the program and encourage me to have the self believe that I can and would do it!
I love the acceptance of owning my choices and making better decisions about my nutrition and fitness. Before I would just plod along doing what I thought was ok, but never truly appreciating the importance of each individual choice and how it impacts on your overall wellbeing. I love the impact the changes in me have had on my family too.
[What would you say to someone thinking of getting started with Terrific Fitness?] Do it! Taking the first step is making the decision to give it a go, but fully committing to it to see the real benefits. You have to be mentally prepared to get on the journey and accept all the highs and lows.
